    TIPS FOR CARING FOR FEMALE HEALTH

    Since every May 28 marks the International Day of Action for Women's Health, we take this opportunity to share the following recommendations that will allow you to be alert and keep your physical and mental health in good condition

    Get a general medical checkup every year. It is important that you go to the doctor to perform a general physical and laboratory exam to help you check the condition of your body and in case you detect any disease provide you with the appropriate treatment.

    Exercise It is important that you practice some physical activity three times a week; Exercise allows you to release toxins, oxygenate your body, strengthen your muscles and help free you from stress.
    Avoid drinking alcoholic beverages and tobacco. These are deadly enemies for your health since they can cause cardiovascular, pulmonary diseases and increase the risk of suffering from some type of cancer.
    Maintain a balanced diet. You must make three daily meals that include protein, vegetables, carbohydrates and two snacks. Avoid eating foods high in fat and sugar. Stay hydrated, including 6 to 8 glasses of water a day in your diet.


    Take care of your sexual and reproductive health. If you are sexually active, find out about sexually transmitted diseases and contraceptive methods that best suit your body or if you plan to have a pregnancy, get in touch with your gynecologist.

    Do not forget your mental health. According to the WHO, women suffer in a greater percentage than men from mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety. Stay tuned if you have any symptoms such as: feelings of sadness or contempt, weight gain or loss, fatigue, etc.
